EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomenon) - Is It Really Paranormal?

<< EVP - BRIEF HISTORY
<< EVP - DEFINITION & CLASSIFICATION

Now we ask an old age question that comes along with anything unexplained; is it really paranormal? Believers theorize that it might be of a paranormal origin while debunkers are trying to find possible rational explanation for EVP. In the following text, we will discuss several theories on what an EVP could be, where could it come from therefore if the mysterious audio originates from beyond the grave or are we simply failing to see something rational.

VOICES OF PEOPLE WHO HAVE PASSED AWAY
This is the most popular theory for the recordings which contain mysterious and unexplained sounds and voices. This theory is so popular that a lot of researchers who investigate ghost phenomenon use EVP as a way of communicating with people who have crossed over.

VOICES OF ANGELS AND DEMONS
Second theory is similar to the first one; receiving messages from other worlds. However, this theory suggests that some of these messages might be from different beings mostly including angels and demons.

SOUNDS FROM BEINGS FROM ANOTHER DIMENSION
The third theory suggests the possibility of multiple dimensions. Therefore, it is theorized that the recorded mysterious sounds might be beings from another dimension trying to communicate with us.

US FROM A DIFFERENT UNIVERSE
Following the idea of multiple dimensions, we must ask ourselves: "Could the mysterious sounds be us from a parallel universe that might have accidentally interfered with our universe? Or did we purposely send this messages to us?" Think Interstellar.

OUR OWN SUBCONSCIOUSNESS
Some researchers believe that somehow our own consciousness could be projected onto the tape. Therefore, this theory suggests that the mysterious sounds are projections of our own thoughts.

SCIENTIFIC EXPLANATIONS
There are numerous theories which would explain EVP scientifically; voices picked up from radio signals, cell phones and similar sources; overlapping real voices that were already on the tape; random noise interpreted as voices and messages due to the phenomenon of pareidolia  or, simply, a haox.

Last, but not least, what's your opinion? Do you agree with suggested ideas or do you have your own theory? Let the rest of us know! Who knows, may be all of these theories are on to something, but every one of them might be true for each different case or the situation. Therefore, in one situation it might have been a radio signal but who is to tell that another one was not paradolia or maybe a ghost.
